Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Greenwich Social Club is committed to creating work environments that are fair and inclusive for all, where employees, suppliers, partners and club members can succeed regardless of gender, race, social or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, pregnancy, political opinion, trade union membership, nationality, social origin or other distinguishing characteristics.
The content creator space heavily leans toward white men and white women. That's why we will make an effort to combat this cycle by ensuring at least 50% of our gifting and collaboration lists will identify as POC or underserved groups.
We expect all of our suppliers to share the same standards for their employees. We expect all employees employed by our suppliers to have equal workplace rights and to be free from any discriminatory practices. All employees and workers should have their human rights guaranteed at their workplace(s), including: the right to be recruited, hired, paid, promoted and retained without discrimination on the basis of any criteria prohibited by local laws, including but not limited to race, sex and age.
Sustainability
Greenwich Social Club is committed to building a fair and inclusive future, driving progress on circularity and renewable materials. We believe impact encompasses both environmental stewardship and social responsibility. The goals we set to achieve this are interwoven in our everyday business.
Circularity is incredibly important to us and we pledge to always upcycle and recycle. If upcycling is not possible, we will attempt to recycle as much waste from our products, including byproducts, as we can, with the ultimate aim to achieving 100% circularity within our supply chain by 2035.
Responsible Manufacturing:
We take responsibility for the products we design, materials we source and production of all products. It is our aim to create products which meet or exceed our sustainability standards. We hold our production partners to the same high standards and work together to reduce our overall footprint while increasing positive impact.
Supply Chain Sustainability:
We know how important it is to source our products from responsible suppliers. We aim to publicly list our Tier 1 and 2 suppliers by the end of 2026.
We work with our suppliers to ensure that they share the same values as us and demonstrate a commitment to responsible manufacturing. Before taking on new suppliers and manufacturing partners, we carry out comprehensive due diligence. We check everything from country risk scanning, background checks, profiling, onsite visits and standards alignment.
Labour & Child Labour:
We are committed to ensuring fair & inclusive working conditions for everyone who works with Greenwich Social Club, including our suppliers. We ask all Club suppliers involved in both our upstream and downstream operations comply with our policies. We also ask our suppliers ensure any sub-contractors they employ also comply with standards outined in our business policy and demonstrate a robust management system for detecting and preventing child labour within their value chain.
The right to a living wage is integral to our business values and we continue to develop strategies with our suppliers to create wage transaprency and fair compensation initiatives. Our commitment to upholding human rights is in accordance with the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, ILO Core Conventions, the United Nations (UN) Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. For all manufacturing activities, we also reference The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Business Conduct.
Where local or national law conflict with international human rights standards we require compliance with the law while seeking to uphold international standards.
Child Labour Policies
We prohibit the labour of any person under fifteen (15) years of age or of any person less than the national legal age of compulsory schooling or minimum working age, whichever is higher. Juvenile workers are prohibited from night employment, working exceptionally long hours or performing hazardous labour. All suppliers must show management systems are in place to prevent instances of child labour and remediation procedure where child labour is identified.
We define child labour forms as per ILO Conventions 138, 182.
Migrant Labour Policies
Where Club suppliers employ migrant workers we ensure that they ensure fair treatment of workers throughout their journey from recruitment to day-to-day employment and repatriation processes. We prohibit suppliers from charging fees and related costs to workers or employing deception statuses during recruitment stages. Our suppliers are prohibited from discrimination, retaining personal documents or restricting workers' movement during employment. Suppliers shall also pay any worker repatriation costs.
